And more yet

Alyssa is fixing to start taking her state tests..........These are nothing big but yet they are.......The teachers are putting a lot of pressure on these kids to do good.....Its stressing Alyssa out and she had told me as much but I guess I didn't understand it the way she said it.........The end result of the teachers putting this pressure on the kids caused Alyssa to act out for the last 2 wks........I never put 2 and 2 togather until yesterday when I was talking to her therapist.......It was then that I realized why she was acting out, why she was saying she had a headache, her stomach hurt and was throwing up........She came to me and I missed the signs.........UGH I am a bad mom!!! Anyways talking with her therapist, I realized what was happening and have since made phone calls to her special ed teacher.........I also sent a note to her main teacher......She is still acting out and probably will until after next week when the tests end but hopefully this is the source of all it and it will end..........Please lord I don't know how much more I can take........Grant me patiences to make it through these next 6 wks with my sanity intact.........

Spring break

Spring break has begun as soon as the kids arrive home on the bus, UGH........Wish me luck surviving the next 10 days........Hopefully it will go really fast........

Yesterday we had a meeting at the school with OT..........OT wants to d'c treatment for Alyssa....She has only been recieving services a half hour a month.......Thats not what the problem was........On their paperwork they said that they had talked to the teacher.......which the teachers have denied being talked to........

However back to the meeting...........The OT started giving her teacher a hard time.....I agree with them on that though..........I have asked and asked that they try to prevent her having meltdowns......They don't see it.......I'm the one who has to deal with it..........Her teacher used the excuse that she has bathroom tokens to use and Alyssa uses them appropiately.........The only problem if the teachers are not paying attention to her is that she gets overwhelmed and doesn't even realize it until it is to late.........Hello this is what I am talking about........The OT told her teacher that she needs to take more breaks, if she sees her getting ansy to send her for a walk up and down the hallway, not to just let her take bathroom breaks..........Alyssa does not know her limits.........She doesn't see the meltdowns coming until they happen.........Its up to us adults to try to prevent them........
They are dcing her treatment plan but both her teachers have heard it from the therapist that if they have any ?S about Alyssa or any other child for that matter that they can come to them........They can get her pencil grip and her cushion from them without her being in their program.......All her teachers have to do is let them know......but it was nice to have someone actually fight for me and not againist me when it comes to Alyssa........

Update on the last couple of days

Yesterday I had an awesome dr's appt with the specialist who I have been seeing for just the level 2 u/s.........They still haven't gotten all of his measurements but he is doing great and growing like a weed........According to the u/s he weighs 3lbs 7oz......I know that they say that they can be off by as much as a lb but seriously with my history of growing big boys, I don't think that is the case..........I have figured by his rate of growth in the last month that he will be close to 10lbs when he is born if not more.........Joshua weighed 9lbs 12oz when he born so I am thinking that he is going to be the same way..........I got him his car seat, his coming home outfit (0-3mths, cause with Joshua the newborn clothes didn't fit, LOL) and some bottles just in case bfing fails again this time........Hopefully it won't, I have talked to a bfing consultant, got some more ideas, made new internet friends who have made suggestions on how to help increase production so we will see...........
Now on to the news about the dr........I got the phone numbers for the dr that my regular ob was wanting on to come back.......I have an appt with him on tuesday.........Still not at the hospital I wanted to deliver at but one of the better ones in tulsa.........So I am quite pleased.........

Alyssa had an eye dr appt.......It went awesome.........the eye that they have been working on to strengthen is within normal ranges even though it is still turning out a bit.........Her glasses are staying the same strength as her eye sight hasn't changed any........And she got new glasses, the last pair we got apparently has an issue with the metal being to thin, We have adjusted them, they tried to adjust them and they just kept springing back.........So they were really loose on her face.....So in about 2 wks we will have new glasses and hopefully they will work better for her.........We have another IEP meeting next week.......Well sort of..........We are meeting with OT because they want to discharge her and they haven't done much of anything to begin with.........They meet with her once a month for maybe a half hour if that.........and they gave her a pencil grip because they think she holds her pencil wrong.........She holds it the same way I do.........So does that mean I hold my pencil/pen wrong to??? At the time I thought they were being nitpicky now I think it is just a waste of time for her to be pulled out of class..........They are doing nothing for her..........Plus on the paperwork that they gave to the school, it said that they spoke to the teacher and she has no concerns at this time........They never talked to them........She hasn't even met her goals that they had set for her......UGH........I have decided that I will work with her at home instead of what they are doing..........Heck I don't think I can do any more damage, LOL.........Wish me luck........She is just as stubburn as her momma.......Could it be the Leo showing up?? Or the fact that she has both her momma and her daddy in her and she has a double dose of stubburness..........hehehehe

Alyssa

We had Alyssa's IEP meeting today......She is doing wonderful in school.....She has 5 A's and a B........They are very pleased with her progress as well as I am.......They are trying to dc her ot services and said that her teacher doesn't have any concerns at this time.......According to the teacher they never talked to her.......UGH.........I just got a phone call from her therapist who is fixing to meet with her to find out what is going on.....

she has been complaining of a sore throat since last night and wouldn't you know it she shared it with her momma, UGH.....I got a call from the school earlier saying that she was complaining that her throat hurt again and was crying.......I asked them to give her some motrin and to let me know if it worked.....I haven't heard back but I called to check on her and they won't transfer me to the teacher hopefully she is doing better.......If she isn't any better tomorrow morning she is staying home......I will deal with the aftermath.......She is trying to not miss a day of school because they reward the kids with a movie every month for perfect attendance.............She has been doing awesome.........I have noticed as long as she has a goal she seems to do really well with achieveing it.........She has a goal right now to get all As and she is pretty darn close to achieveing that goal..........HUM now to find something to reward those good grades........Had to run and pick her up from school........She looks worse now then she did this morning........And she is awfully quiet, right now she is making herself a cup of tea to help with her throat.....kids, kids, kids
