16 yrs ago today

I was 17 and a mommy for the very first time....My son Clayton Matthew was born at 8:08am weighing in at 8lbs 9oz and was 20 1/2" long..........Today he can drive a car with a license.......Also today (16 yrs ago) my mom graduated from nursing school after staying up all night with me in labor........................................Time flies, WOW!!!!

Baby Jace is slowly beginning to adjust to life at home with noisy big brothers and sister........LOL.........Joshua and Austin have each given me a heart attack by picking him up while he is laying on the bed............The last 2 nights he has slept in his bassinet til about 5 am.......Then after that he won't sleep anymore in it and has to sleep in momma's arms.....

Tomorrow is the last day of school for the summer.......Wow has this school year flown by..........Alyssa is going to incredible pizza tomorrow, Joshua is just setting at the school and playing..........I printed out invitations for his birthday party on the 6th...........My baby is turning 5........I have figured that we are going to do cupcakes that the kids will decorate themselves but Joshua vetod that idea........So now I have decided ok, I will make a cake and then the kids will play with the waterhose or with the sprinkler or water balloons........I know my kids will love it..........And I put it in the invites to make sure the kids wear clothes they can get wet in........I think we will make homemade ice cream as well...........Just gotta get my head togather and get into it.........It will be a blast.........Joshua is super excited......Alyssa wants a birthday party to, we will see where she wants closer to her birthday, LOL..........School starts the week after her birthday...........But anyway more pics, LOL

Time flies

When you have a newborn in the house.........Actually he isn't much of a newborn anymore.......he turned a month old on the 13th........I took him to the dr last week and he is doing awesome.........He weighs 7lbs 8oz and is 19 1/2 inches long.......But Jace looks so little yet.......He doesnt' sleep much......He more cat naps then anything........I try to sleep when he sleeps, I manage to get the dishwasher loaded maybe once every other day........Kent is a big help when it comes to cooking supper........I thank god everyday that I met and fell in love with a man who can cook and loves to.........Thou sometimes he may drive me insane with I don't know what to fix.........Or his other favorite saying is "You can go in there and throw it all togather and have an awesome dinner"...........He cracks me up at times.........But I have to brag on him today..........He cleaned the living room, he even swept it and straightened up the baskets of laundry that I need to fold and will fold tomorrow........I also need to go pick up a dresser that a friend of mine gave me.........Jace needs one for all his clothes..........I bought him a couple packs of oneies as all of the 0-3 mths clothes I have won't fit him, they fall off........The newborn however fit him perfectly and leave growing room to boot........None of the sleepers I have fit him so I had to buy him some of those as well.......My other boys were 9lbs 12oz and 9lbs 0.6 oz, they were well on their way into 3-6mths by the time they arrived, LOL.........I am still trying to find him an outfit for pics.....but I have been snapping pics away on my camera.....

The other kids are adjusting to him being home wonderfully.........They all want to hold him........Alyssa really wants to help with him.........she wants to do everything with him..............

I had an IEP meeting with Alyssa's special ed teacher for placement next year.........They said she has progressed well enough that she is going to be mainstreamed full time.........She has caught up with her class on reading..........However I worry that they are just setting her up for failure..............And then we have to deal with the meltdown that will follow by her feeling overwhelmed..........They said that they are keeping her IEP for behavior and that she still will be able to have the resources of the special ed room as well as another room and that her IEP will include the advantages of being able to leave the room when she is overwhelmed.........For some reason this has not set well with me and I have worried about it since I found out........Its hard to believe that she is going to be in the 4th grade next year..............

Joshua is doing well to............He was so funny when Jace came home from the hospital...........He kept saying "his ears are so little", "his feet are so small" oh how true it is............But he had to inspect him all over just like a doting mom or dad, it was so funny to see him do it............He is the proud big brother and man I can't wait to see what a father he will be when he gets older...........He hears Jace cry and he will come running............Screamin all the way "Mom, Jace is crying"................Mom come see whats the matter with Jace, he is crying...............hehehehe...........he is so funny..............He had a feild trip to tulsa last week where he dressed up as a pirate...........He is still toting around the hankie that the school bought for the kids.........Then yesterday he had an end of the year program........The whole pre-k class wore brown shirts that said "ok kid" and straw cowboy hats along with bandanas of different colors......It was awesome..........they were so cute..........

Austin is just getting as big as ever.........I noticed today his face is really filling out.........which means he is fixing to shoot up in height again..........its still hard to believe that he is 3.......His speech has cleared up even though I still have a hard time understanding him at times.........I have to make him slow down and speak looking right at me.........He loves his little brother...........he is all the time giving him kisses on the head........Trying to help with him.......Giving him his binkie, getting a diaper............And when he cries, he goes over to the bassinet or pac n play and will say ssssssshhhhhhhhh............Today when Jace was really fussy he was singing "You are my sunshine" it was absolutely hillarious...........He was trying to get Jace to calm down.........He is a comedian.........

Pictures and lots of them

Just a few pics of the kids from Saturday and Sunday

School is reopening tomorrow

I absolutely love this new notification system that the school has.......The superintendent records a message and every parent gets a phone call............I got the phone call yesterday about school being closed for today until further notice because of the water line break that they could not find..........Well today was the first day we haven't had rain falling so they could actually work on it..........Apparently there were several leaks that they had to fix today and they have them all fixed and school is reopening again............WOOHOO or at least according to the phone call that we got this evening that school is open...........now the roads on the other hand are impassible because they were washed out........I have pics to upload from my phone to here but haven't had time..........

Baby Jace

Is still hanging out in the NICU.......He failed his sleep study and his car seat tolerance test........He was tettering on the edge before they did his circumsism (spl) and was doing great.......they did that and it sent him falling off the deep end.......He couldn't keep his temp up, no one would explain what was going on and on thursday someone took the time to explain what was going on and

School is closed until further notice

What!!!!

That is the phone call I got earlier this evening from the superintendent of schools..........Apparently on friday durning our flooding a water line broke and because the water has not receeded enough, they can not locate the break. I'm so glad we don't live in town or have city water..........Oh I knows that mean but seriously.........The only time I am without water is when I have no electric, LOL.........This system that has dumped all this rain on us is not expected to move out until wednesday (not a good thing) so I seriously doubt we will have school at all this week.........I feel for the people in town who have not had water since noon on friday but seriously come on this is crazy........now the kids are going to have to go to school in June......they have no more snow days because we had to use them up when the ice storm hit.........We had to even already make up days because of all the days that we had to miss...........They had extended school until May 28th...........The way the law is written the kids have to have a 180 days of instruction.......they have passed a new law that effects the kids' school year next year that instead of days, its written for hours so that the schools can extend the school day........I wonder how long before they decide to change it again.......LOL........

Spring weather

The last couple of springs have been really wet.........This spring has been no different........On friday, we had a storm system move over the area that proceeded to drop 11 inches of rain in 14 hrs.......Now granted we needed rain but seriously we didn't need it all at once...........This being the 1st of May, Kent and I went and paid bills and bought feed for the animals and groceries........While we were in tahlequah, I get a phone call from Joshua's teacher...........they are closing school and we need to come get the kids because its not safe for the buses to run........So I tell the teacher where we are at and as soon as we can make our way there we will.........She then proceeds to tell me main street is closed........UM, how are we suppose to get the kids, we have to cross main street to get to the schools..........So Kent figures out how to get around it.........the intersection is also our way home.......We managed to get home and unload the groceries and head back to town to get our kids.........All this time the rain is still falling........I called and rescheduled everything (I had an appt at my ob and an appt to pick up a new to me freezer) We also lost our electric durning this storm.........It went out around 6:30 am and didn't come back on til 10:45 pm that night..........I had to go to the grocery store to get the kids something to eat that I didn't have to cook.........So I got them lunchables and Kent and I salads.........thats what they wanted.......We actually went to bed early on friday night because of the no electric only to get woke up when the electric actually comes back on...........
