Joshua and Alyssa's parent teacher conferences

Considering how she was just a few weeks ago at school........I was expecting the worst.........However I got the complete opposite......She has 1 A, 2 B's and 3 C's.........but the thing about these grades is she is getting absolutely no help from the special ed department, she is doing it all on her own, I am extremely proud of her.........She was excited knowing she can do it..........She is still having issues in math but if she would take the time to slow down she would do even better........I got her homework from her missing monday and tuesday and they didn't have school wednesday threw friday so she only had to miss 2 days.....but hey she has it almost done, all thats left is to clue the papers on her posterboard for her research project which is totally awesome..........

Joshua~He is doing very well.........He has mastered his math skills, he has mastered his phonological sounds only working on the short vowel sounds.......now his phonological awearness is lacking just a bit but he is doing awesome otherwise.........His teacher says that he will be reading in about 3 wks......I was shocked.......Ya know how much problems we had with Alyssa and now to have a child who is doing so well...........He is also doing first grade work.......They are working on sight words.........they do not get this until 1st grade.......We worked with Alyssa consistantly to get her on the sight words and needless to say she can see that Joshua has mastered the majority of them........WOOHOO........I knew he was smart.........but he hasn't showed his teacher his ornery side.........Just that he has very good selective hearing.........LOL
