baseball game

The kids first baseball game............

First~We went in to town today to do some errands and stop by the grocery store.......While in town we noticed that it was getting dark very quickly.........Looking like it could rain at any minute.......When we get to the gas station to clean my windshield it started thundering and lightening..........We had to stop at the fish barn to pick up tackle and new line for the poles..........I come out side and it is beginning to sprinkle........While driving down mainstreet, it was like it was coming in sheets........Only it was dust, the wind picked up hadn't had much all day and we were under an ozone alert because of it......I am driving home and the sky proceeds to let loose............In the hour that we were gone to town our driveway chug holes are flooded.........Now mind you that they are not small ones.....Kent has to get out of the suburban to move branches that had fallen onto the drive and throw them across the fence.........And when we get home, my clothes line has broken......I had a comforter hanging on it.........Kent had just tightened it up again........UGH.........The wind is that bad........So I get online to check out the weather before the kids and Kent leave for the baseball game.......it shows no sign of moving towards tulsa..........So much for that thought........They leave and head into tulsa........Get their seats which happen to be very good seats according to Kent (right behind the drillers dugout on first base line) They are enjoying the game when people started moving........The kids ask daddy if they were going to move to..........He says no not unless it starts really raining...........About that time he looks across the field at the scoreboard and he said he could litterally see it move across the field..........He told the kids to run up to the covered seats and they barely got there before it let go..........And then the game gets cancelled due to the wet field...........My kiddos are broken hearted because they don't get to finish the game but the box office is going to honor their tickets for saturday night's game........Austin got an Arby's drawstring backpack and water bottle, Alyssa got 2 free tickets for waffle fries from Arby's and those noise makers, Montana got a drawstring backpack and a water bottle, and Joshua got arby's paper clips.......Daddy has pics on his cell phone, just need to have him send them to me............I will post them later........
