The laundry mountain

I am embarrassed to say the least but here is my laundry nightmare.........This is from cleaning the boys room and Alyssa's and hers is not even done yet.......UGH.........Its a moutain that I intend on conquering.........And while I am at it I am putting stuff in the giveaway, putting up stuff that Joshua has outgrown for Austin to wear........Putting up stuff that Austin hasn't ruined for Jace.....
All the while on cold meds.......I woke up with hardly any voice, a sore throat, a stuffed up head.......Allergies plus I got Joshua's eye infection..................It hurts......

A quote from the Rosanne show

I love her, she cracks me up

"an accident is something that you didn't plan for and wouldn't go through if you could do it over, but a surprise is something you didn't even know you wanted until you got it and then you couldn't imagine not having it"

This is so true...........

The Countdown

Has begun until school starts............15 days, 2 wks 1 day, 360 hrs, 21600 mins, 1296000 seconds........yep Alyssa and I are having fun with the calculator today........You would think I have to much time on my hands...........When it is quite the opposite........I have a mountain and I do mean a moutain........(mom now I know why we hated you cleaning our rooms, LOL) I have done 3 loads......One is completely dried, now I just need to fold it, one is in the dryer and another in the washer and I bet there are about 17 more loads to go........Only problem with that is I don't have enough laundry soap to get it done until friday........Alyssa's birthday is a week from friday so I have to manage to get away some how to get her a present.......

I tackled Joshua and Austin's room yesterday.......I cleaned out the toybox, the dressers and the closets..........I bagged up 4 bags of good toys for giveaway and I bagged up 2 bags of broken toys (thanks to the neighbor) for Kent to haul off........Apparently Alyssa's was way worse as we still haven't finished it.......We will finish it tomorrow..........Her and Daddy worked on it for over 5 hrs today and this is after I worked on it........yep it was bad........We have managed to find most of the missing silverware and cups in her room.......My missing towels that she had the nerve to tell me were in the boys' room........I knew where they were but convinceing her of that is another story.......She has more then enough clothes to cloth a small army..........So I am going threw clothes as they come out of the dryer, they will go in bags and will not go back into her room......We have thrown away knock off barbies that family keep buying her......(yes we kept the real ones) We still haven't cleaned out from under the bed nor have we made it to the closets in her room but there is always tomorrow to get it done..........Man oh man will my house look totally different when we are done with it........

We are also moving the boys around.......We have what I affectionally call the junk room.....Its an empty bedroom that has been used as a catch all......I am going to take a hammer and remodel it........The sheetrock is falling apart and I already have 2 sheets, just need to get about 10 more.......I also have the tape and mud to do the joints.........then I am going to paint the room black on the bottom, red on the top with a stark white chair rail around the middle where the black and red meet........The only thing I don't think I will have the money to buy this time will be the closet and bedroom door.........I have to get some black material to do the curtains.........I will also get some red and make some tab curtains like I did for Alyssa's room.......And I am considering doing that for the closet to...........Austin likes to lock himself accidently in the closet so it might be an option until they are older........We will have to see.........Then in sept we will be doing what was their room and turning it in to Alyssa's room.......I wanna do light purple and wainscotting around the bottom...........Not sure if she will like it but I think it would look sharp, Or maybe a pale pink.........I'm on the hunt for a twin bed, I'm going to use her queen bed in the spare bedroom for when someone comes down to stay..........Like montana or morgan.......Then that leaves the back 2 bdrms, living room, bathroom and kitchen........I haven't decided what I am doing for the other 2 bdrms........The bathroom well thats a whole nother story, I'm saving the most expensive for last, LOL.......The kitchen will be the last thing I do......

A beautiful saying

I Don't Regret The Things I Have Done Or The Things I Have Chosen Not To Do Because Whatever I've Done, I Must Have Done Something Right Because I Ended Up With You.

I found this on bbc.......But it is so true........Its exactly how I feel about my family.........

Jace's followup

With the neonatal clinic...........It went so-so.......They are concerned that he isn't gaining weight properly.........Um seriously I have been mentioning this to his dr and she hasn't seemed the least bit concerned...........And really, its not an issue because he is gaining weight, just not as fast as he should...........He weighs 10lbs 7.7oz and is 22 1/2" long........He has gained 4lbs 4.2oz and grown 4 1/2" since he was born 14 wks ago.............So they increased his caloric intake.......Even more so if I went to get the 22 cal a fluid oz formula.......We mix 5oz of water with 3 scoops of formula which makes it 24 cal per fluid oz now..........Its also suppose to help with his spitting/throwing up..........for now we are sticking with the zantac to help with his reflux as well..........Micah came in and evaluated him to see how his muscle tone is and how he is progressing.........This woman became my sanity saver while Jace was in the NICU...........She helped me make sense of everything and explained it in layman's terms........She is concerned that he is starting torticollis......Its where his head constantly favors one side (which it does) so she gave me some exercises to do with him on top of the other ones we do..........She also said it is not uncommon for him to still be overwhelmed......Just keep doing what I am doing........Lord have mercy he is a very demanding baby........He will not keep his head midline so we have to work on that to........I told them he is already rolling from his belly to his back and they said he shouldn't be doing that..........My darling son proved to them that momma is right........He rolled over for her..........I also told them that if he could figure out how to get his arms under him right he would be crawling........So she put his arms under him the way he would if he was crawling and let him set there.........He got his feet positioned just right and needless to say he came flying off the table at her........It was funny.......She was right there watching him with her hands beside him in case something like that happened......So in some areas he is advanced and in other areas he is delayed.........but nothing major.........Just normal preemie issues.......We go back in 3 mths.........Oh and they also checked his hearing but he woudln't be quiet, LOL..........so the test isn't conclusive.....she did check his ears for fluid behind the ear drums and of course there is none.......He adjusted age is only 8 wks.........so he is great........

July 13th

We headed home..........We had decided while we were there that we were going to visit granddad's grave and see where some other family members were buried.......Kent's gps on his cell phone absolutely sucks........So my friend Tracy comes back into play.......I called her to help me find the cemetary..........This is after we called Granny who said it was between Willis and New Waverly........of course the exit for Willis is the one I just passed.........so I get off at this other exit, not sure where it lead to but I turned and followed the road towards New Waverly...........We get into town and stop at the gas station to ask directions.......The girl in there was rude to Kent and said "I'm not from here" I dont' know where it is..........So because my batteries in my camera are dead and we forgot the charger for the rechargables.........I stopped at dollar general.........I asked the lady in there and she said........"Honey, I'm not from here, I'm from Huntsville (its about 10 miles from where we are at)..........so she asked the customer that was in front of me when I came to check out.......He says I don't live here I"m from Dallas......But at least both of them were really nice.......As I am finishing up my purchases another couple comes in, I asked them......They said they know where Black Jack road is but not the cemetary......The other couple that also had come in to buy their baby a binkie because he lost all of his and was throwing a fit (I so know how that is) and said its up that road towards Phelps.........Well I get to the road......No problem, I'm driving and driving and not seeing any cemetary, no signs for one either.........I get to the road that turns to go to Huntsville or Livingston and know that I am lost.......So here is where Tracy comes in, LOL.......I called her and said I need my gps again, she laughs..........She can not find it either...........No where she looks can she find anything about it..........So I asked her to find me a morturary or funeral home.........She gets me Huntsville funeral home...........They get me back to where I need to be........I find the road (gotta turn off the main road onto a dirt road)............Well silly me follows the road instead of staying straight.......I ended up in a pasture.........Granny had to laugh about it.........She says I know that pasture you ended up in............So we go back and now Kent's GPS starts working.......LOL...........and low and behold if I would have taken the straight and narrow path I would have ran into the cemetary..........I didn't have any issues finding the graves either.........Its a very small country cemetary.......With a lot of history.........Alyssa is the one who found the headstones for Granddaddy........But we also discovered a mess while we were there...........One of the tombstones was knocked over and at first we didn't realize that it was Great Granddad's and Grandma Loving's............Until after we called Granny and it dawned on me that the initals on the footstones stood for that.........Duh I can say I come by my blonde moments naturally...........I also took pictures of the headstones so that I continue on my quest of cracking the family tree........So in a nutshell that was a vacation..........There is never a dull moment........hehehe but then again I wouldn't have it any other way.............

Sunday July 12th

Sunday we just kind of set around and watched movies.......Played with the kids......Looked at pics.........So here are some random pics of from our trip...

July 11th

Lets try this again since my laptop is back up and working............I have a bigger harddrive now and a different operating system.....haven't explored the os yet but soon will......I'm still trying to get everything installed and reloaded.......I have to take the other hard drive to a computer tech to have him get my pics off of it.....I thought I had saved my pics on a disk but when I tried to put the disk in another computer I couldn't open it.......I do have the pics on the desktop but I'm not sure what I did wrong so I haven't tried to save them again.......anyways back to the vacation update.....

On saturday Uncle John and Aunt Chris came in from Katy to see us........Ya know it is pretty bad when your own dad and brothers won't take the time to come see ya but your uncle will.......we had an awesome time and then I allowed the kids to play in the pool........I dind't get in but they sure begged me to, LOL.........

AS you can see the kids absolutely loved Uncle John......He is a riot.......

This is a four generation picture........
Granny, Uncle John, Kent and Jace (Granny and Jace share their birthdays)

after they were there for awhile, the kids got bored playing with uncle John so I took them to the pool........It was late afternoon, the sun had gone down behind the buildings so we wouldn't get sunburnt......And the kids had a blast.........

So on friday, Daddy took the kids swimming in Granny's apt complex's pool........They had a blast.......And of course they stayed out to long........they were out there from about 12:30 til after 5.......Daddy who never burns, looked like this......

I am having troubles getting blogger to work right, ugh....

7/10/09

Ok so the day rolls back around and the kids want to try out Granny's apt complex's swimming pool..........Mommy is severly burnt so Daddy takes the kids outside........LOL.........they go out around 12:3o and do not come back in til after 5........and this is what Daddy looked like

7-9-09

I took the kids to the beach/bay at Galvaston........The damage from Hurricane Ike is still very prominant.......Check out this hotel and McDonald's........Kent was trying to get pics of the Mcdonalds that they were rebuilding but didn't do it........Hey at least he managed to get the sign, LOL......

According to Aunt Chris they are demoloshing the Hotel Flagship.........Now for the real reason we went to Galvaston..........

The night before we left I told Kent to get the kids' pool toys out of the shed.........He of course didn't do it and says he forgot..........So while we were on I-45 South I seen alot of Dollar Trees.........So I called Tracy (love ya) and asked her to help me find a dollar tree......hehehehe, she goes to their website and finds one in Galvaston..........This Dollar Tree (I wish I would have thought to take a pic of it) but it is the biggest Dollar Tree I have ever seen........Got the kids' pool toys and toothbrushes and toothpaste (that I left on the washer) and then we head to the beach.......The kids were not impressed with it at all because #1 it was really windy and so the waves were rough and knocking them down and #2 they kept getting the salt water in their mouthes..........LOL but we had a blast looking for seashells.......

Granny kept Jace, it was so nice to be able to consentrate on just Alyssa, Joshua and Austin.......

Our texas vacation 7-8-09

We had an awesome time, LOL..........Of course who wouldn't when they go on vacation..........

We left the 8th around 7:30, only an hour and a half late.........Finish topping off the tank and get Kent a cup of cappicino and me a pop (I so needed the caffeine)........Start heading south, get a phone call from Carie asking where we were (she knows me all to well and knew I wouldn't be leaving on time, however I think I did surprise her because we were gone and on the road) She informs us that its raining in Sapulpa or was it Tulsa (who cares) anyways it was moving towards McAlster which happens to be the way we are heading, LOL........Wouldn't you know it, we get there around 9:30 and it is pouring rain..........Now when we bought the suburban, I bought new windsheild wipers..........They were not the cheapest by any means but not the most expensive either.......They were Michelin (spl)..........So Kent tries to bend it to see if it would help..........Nope but then the rain stopped.........I should have went to walmart right then but of course I didn't.........Lesson learned, I think...........So anyways we continue on our trip heading south........The kids finally fall asleep and somewhere down south before we got to Durant we changed drivers..........The next thing I know is that Kent is saying kids welcome to Texas, we had crossed the Red River.......Its not really Red or at least not where we crossed at.........We arrive in Dallas around noon..........OMG, Traffic was horrible.......

This is my first experiance with Dallas traffic and it gets worse.........the lane next to us is going north on I-45..........I seriously am questioning taking this route again when we go back down........If we have to take the route through Dallas I am going to visit my dr and ask for aniexty pills before we leave........Give me some xanax or valium or something cause I absolutely lost it when Kent was driving..........After Dallas we continued on and somewhere on the South side we changed drivers back...........Outside of Huntsville what do we find again but rain.........This time the rain is so bad that I can't see to drive, drivers are goin 20-25mphs............At first I was just going to pull of and wait it out..........but then I decided I am going to go ahead and follow the traffic as the rain let up a bit and I could finally see..........Then wouldn't you know it, it starts raining harder..............So I pull off the next exit which happens to be Willis, Tx and I found an autozone and bought me a rainx wiperblade to the tune of $14 and some change..........I could have gotten it cheaper at home......UGH but I was tired of not being able to see.............I'm not sure where but somewhere before we got to Houston we changed drivers again.............

The kids really wanted to stop and check out the ferris wheel but mom veto'd them.........We were on a mission, and we were going to get there.........It took us 2 hrs to get 30 miles in Houston traffic (Uncle Ricky, I love ya but I hate where ya live, lol) So we get to Granny's and have supper.....and then the kids went to bed......
