OMG!!! So I've tried so many ways to get signed into this blog and nothing worked until today when I had a hacker get into the email account associated with this blog!! Thank you hacker for giving it back to me, lol... Guess they can be good for something, lol.... I must close this post and finish cleaning my room.... A mom's work is never done.... They go from son up to son down... I will try to post an update later on the kids...
Much love and prayers as we navigate this national crisis..... But remember to wash your hands many, many times a day.... And if you are sick please for the love of God stay home.

Its been a long time since I blogged..... Life has been a whirlwind... I last posted in September of 2015...On November 6th 2015, My mom passed away.... I had already split up with my Significant other.... He was mentally and emotionally abusive to me and physically abusive to the kids... I needed to admit that to myself that I could take care of them... but loosing Mom, I hit rock bottom... I also found out my "boyfriend" at the time and I use that term loosely was married.... My depression took over... I also wasn't a mom to my kids... I was horrible.... I probably should have admitted myself... Anyways... Kent and Sarah were also there but they did little to help... but regardless those were my babies and I was responsible for taking care of them.... I was responsible for making sure they ate, the house was clean, they had clean clothes, etc... I was their mom... I didn't do that... I let my depression from loosing Mom take over... On January 21st, 2016 Alyssa was caught huffing markers at group... They had to report it to DHS... this is not the first time or the second time we have been reported to DHS.. over the years apparently we have had about 15 reports... I know some of them had to do with Hope and Dallas staying with us... but they wouldn't listen to me about that... So they showed up on January 22nd, 2016 and took custody of my children.... I lost it... They said that I was neglecting Alyssa's mental health... Um excuse me but if Alyssa is attending counseling, has mental health appts, dr appts I think that I'm not neglecting her mental health just because I'm not putting her in the hospital... And why take my other children... I'm shattered... My heart is broken even worse then what it was... I can't stay at my house... its not a home without my kids... I still cry as I write this, just thinking about the hell I'm going threw... They put Jace and Austin in Allwe in one foster home, they put Joshua in another foster home, they put ChiAnne in yet another foster home and they admit Alyssa to the calm center (a place she has been before which has done nothing for her) then they moved her to another hospital place... she continued to act out... they finally got her into St. Anthony's in Oklahoma City where she spent till August.... She was then moved from there to the same foster home as ChiAnne... Just before school started she was then moved again to Owasso to another foster home and started school there... this foster home has been great for her thou... Joshua was moved to the shelter in Pawhuska and then moved to Norma and Billy's... which when he finally got up to Norma's he has finally adjusted and is doing fabulous... his gpa is a 3.69, the best he has had yet... he is smart as a whip, he just needed to apply himself.... Austin has been moved twice... the first he was acting out and needed to moved to be by himself... he was moved to a great placement... and this placement was great for him... he flourished in it... then the foster dad had some heart issues and needed to have surgery so he was moved due to no fault of his own.....Jace has also been moved twice... the foster home closed and so they had to move Jace immediately... Jace and Austin are now back together and they doing wonderful... ChiAnne actually came home for a bit... however I got the flu, bronchitis and ARDS and ended up in the hospital again on life support so she went back into foster care and is with Jace and Austin... We go to court on February 28th and hopefully Jace, Austin and ChiAnne come home....I've also completely separated from Kent... We've been done for over a year now... I'm with a wonderful man now... He has 4 kids of his own... 3 boys and a girl... so now our grand total is 10 kids... plus we have a 1 month old grandson... eekkk.... We will take things as they come... but for now... We are gonna continue fighting for my kids to get them home where they belong... So the kids are now 16, 12, 10, 7 and 6... hard to believe that I've got kids who are almost done with school... Alyssa is planning her prom.. "night in the city" she is a sophomore... she is also planning college... She wants to be an emergency room dr.. I can not believe she is planning college... My daughter is planning her future...how did that happen?? wasn't she just a baby in my arms?? she plans on going to OU which she has planned on going since she was in Kindergarten... So that's our update... I will try not to wait so long to update the next time...

Howdy
Dusting off the old laptop and gonna get back into posting on the blog now that all the kids are in school again... Yes you read that right... All my kids are in school... count them 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 kids are in school... I really don't know who was more excited, them or I.... haha...
ChiAnne is now 5 and is still the princess of this house... She knows she rules the roost, haha....Mama is still the queen and controls the roost but she likes to think she does to...
Jace is 6 and in the first grade... Does wonderfully I might add... I did put him back on the reading program as he needed it... He lost some ground over the summer which is concerning with him being autistic but he will be fine.....
Austin is making all A's and 1 B but his B is in handwriting...His Aunt Sarah and I are working with him on it so hopefully it will help him and bring up that grade....
Joshua well he is Joshua... His math grade WOAH!! he is grounded until further notice... He wants to play basketball, no siree not in this house....he isn't.. he is also failing a few other classes so as stated to begin with he is grounded....
Alyssa isn't doing so well, we had to place her inpatient back in August and she hasn't been able to come home... I miss her something terrible... My house just aint the same without my baby girl....
Kent's health is deteriorating.... His kidneys are still not functioning right, they have ordered more heart tests.... VA is on my last nerves but what can one do... gggggrrrrrr.... thats about all I can do.....
Sarah moved in with us over the summer.... I absolutely love having my baby sister here....Its been amazing... She enrolled in RSU.... Finally decided on a major and a minor.... Teaching which is in our blood and native american history which I couldn't be more proud for her!!! YAY!!!!
We've added 3 new dogs to the circus.... yep its a circus around here.... I have new pics to add but they are on my phone and its so hard to add things from my phone to here but I promise I will try to get them from the phone to the computer one of these years....

February 23rd, 2015
So I haven't posted in awhile....Its now February... We haven't had much snow, a dusting here, a dusting there.... Definantly not an Oklahoma snow, lol....
Chi is now 5...Her birtday was fun.. She is so excited but yet heartbroken... She thinks that now she is 5 she can go to school...I had to break it to her that she couldn't go till August, poor girl...We got her a bike and some dress up clothes... she loves everything and is always wearing the dresses....
Kids are doing fabulous in school... Alyssa made an A on her pracitce OCCT state writing test... She has to pass this test to get her driving permit....Um no she isn't driving and she says she has no interest in driving....I don't think my nerves could handle it...
Joshua is struggling with language arts.... We are working to catch him up...he isn't doing the work is the only reason why he is struggling....
Austin is in the top 3 of his class... the kid doesn't need much help...He has a little self confindence issue but he is great....
Jace was my biggest concern starting school as the fire dept is 2 blocks away from the school and across a busy hwy.... he hasn't tried to run once.... hasn't run to the door to see the sirens, nothing.... he is excelling in school... He is already working on 1st grade work....

A log overdue update......
Ok, so I'm back among the land of the living.... Seriously I have known that I need to update my blog for months (yes Aunt Judi, I know ;)) it's been 20 months since I posted so I will post a major update as well as pics ;) that is if I can get them uploaded from my phone.... So many changes in our lives..... We are still in Chelsea, doubt we will ever move even thou I hate the school district with a passion.....
Alyssa is now 14..... Ugh.... She was diagnosed bipolar in April, not surprising.... What is surprising is the schitzoeffective disorder (a combo of bipolar and schizophrenia) ....... She is a handful..... She is in the 8th grade now and still plays the clarinet.....
Joshua turned 10 in June..... Crazy kid is growing up to fast.... 5th grade is upon us....
He has talked nothing but playing guitar for the last 2 yrs, now that it's here he is playing the trumpet.... Not so good on momma's migraines but it's an instrument none the least....
Austin is 8, crazy kiddo.... He is in the 3rd grade and really having a tough time with adjusting.... Says the work is to hard, lol but if he takes 2 mins to slow down, he knows it all..... I think he just needs his self confidence built up.....
Jace is now 5.... He was diagnosed autistic last year.... It's been a whirlwind.... We decided not to continue with therapy for him but wait till this year..... He will have speech, pt and ot.... I have already went toe to toe with his principal plus his bus driver.... And apparently they didn't believe me when I told them that he was autistic because they dug out his file and was amazed at the amount of info and testing that I had given them....
ChiAnne is 4, drama queen/diva/princess..... She is seriously the one who is in control of this house... She rules her brothers and sister..... She knows she has them wrapped tightly around her pinkie and knows how to get them to do what she wants them to do..... She is spending the year at home with momma..... Hehehe what can I say, she is the baby after all.....
Kent had surgery July 10th for a torn bicep muscle... Hazards of horses....
This past August 5th, we celebrated 15 years.... Seems like only yesterday..... But here we are 15 yrs and 5 kids later.... I hope to be more active on the blog again now that Jace is in school.... He always kept me hopping.....
So that is our update... Hope this find you and yours, happy and healthy!!!

LONG TIME NO HEAR
Good lord, life is never dull with 5 kids.......Lets see what I can post while I am at mom's........
Alyssa~She is now 12, 5 ft 1, almost as tall as her momma.......And wearing my shoes, dang it.......She is in the 6th grade and doing awesome.....All A's and B's but one lonely C that is one point away from a B.......She is now playing the clarinet as well......Did beautifully at her band program in December.......She seems to be healing ok from being thrown from the horse and breaking her back in September.......
Joshua~Joshie is the same ornery little kid he has always been, he calls his uncle Bobby a punk, LOL........They love each other and now the Punk uncle as he calls him bought him a Hot pink tshirt that says "don't laugh its your girlfriend's shirt" LOL....We do not have wrestling in Chelsea which broke his heart......I'm looking into Foyil to see if they have it at school otherwise we will have to drive to Claremore for wrestling and pay out the yingyang for it.......Seriously it is crazy how much they wanted for it.........If I could find a house in LG school district I would be going back, the kids did so great there but I'm happy with my house now, LOL.........
Austin~Is at the top of his class seriously, when he can focus, his teacher has nothing but brags on him of how sweet he is, how smart he is when he focuses but as well all know with adhd focus is nearly impossible.......He has had his meds changed recently so we will see how it goes......
Jace~My sweet trouble maker.....He of course has been nonstop sick again.....It started around the beginning of Oct/end of Sept.......Poor kid can not catch a break......He has been so sick that they have cancelled his therapy services because we can not attend them while he is sick, not that they wanted to do them anyways........Such a difference between Oklahoma and Kansas......You still can't understand him........And its hard to believe that he will be 4 in April and just now in a 3t......This boy can get himself into trouble without waking up, seriously.........Trouble finds him.....the only time we can relax is when he is asleep..........
ChiAnne~The baby of the family.........And the silly girl knows it......Her love of horses is indescribable as well as her love of Hello Kitty........This girl is a fashionista in the making.......Everything has to be pink.......Better if it has hello kitty or horses on it.......She is turning 3 next month :((, mommy is having a hard time with that but we will be ok.......Just one step closer to her growing up is all.....
The house........Lord this house is a mess......We bought it knowing it needed finished but everytime we turn around we are having to fix something that was already done or redo something that was done wrong....We need to upgrade the outside breaker box from a 100 amp to a 200amp.......Not really looking forward to that but Kent says he can do it so we are scrapping the money up because of course it isn't cheap, we have to replace the box, the breaker and something else.........And beings it is our house we can do with the work ourselves so in the meantime something else that needs to be done gets pushed aside........We did finally insulate the kitchen........Need 2 more pieces of sheet rock in there (maybe more) but then I can start filling, finishing and sanding it so that we can paint by summer......Exciting :D
The horses, LOL........Shadow now has an official name on his papers.......Yup its about time ain't it.........Its drumroll please Houdini's Shadow.........That horse can get out of anywhere.......Yesterday morning Kent went out to check the mail and he was laying out of the pasture in the front of the feed shed........Like haha I'm waiting here for you to feed me......Seriously he is handful......Like I said on facebook, My horses can stir up more trouble in 2 mins then my children can........haha
OK so thats the most recent update.........I'm without a computer right now and not sure how to get to this from my phone, i"m sure I can as it is an iPhone and we all know how those are.........Love it!!! but there are days I wish I could throw the dang thing........

Updates
Thinking back about my post on the election, boy how right I was, LOL....But now I need to post about the going ons in our little neck of the woods......
We moved back to Oklahoma in July.....Awesomeness.....Yes that is a word, don't argue with it, hehehe (Aunt Judi that was directed to you :D, Love ya) So happy to be back on sooner soil and apparently so are the kids....We got progress reports yesterday.....Alyssa is in the 6th grade now and loving every minute of it...She has 2 A's, 3 B's and a C and even that C is a high C, her B's are 1 or 2 points from an A....And better yet she is completely mainstreamed..She is also in Band and taking Clarinet....She practices every night and is actually getting good at it and has passed her class mates on.....Here is the bad about her......On Sunday the 9th while Grandma was here, she fell off Dream Catcher...Shadow being the butt he is started acting out because he wasn't being messed with.....He bumped into Dream as Alyssa was climbing on top of her and she lost her balance coming right back off before she was even settled on her back.....Landing on her neck/back funny....We called the ambulance and she was taken to Claremore where they did a CT scan, it showed that she has fractured T 3, 4, and 5.......We go to the ortho dr tomorrow.....She missed most of last week because of it, Poor girl tried to go on tuesday and was completely worn out when she got home...She has to have a pillow behind her back and the bus is not exactly the most comfortable place for her...But I have faith that she is healing as she has slowed down complaining of her back hurting.....I did make her use her back muscles to bend over......Using my nursing knowledge I thought it was best she stretch them by bending but not picking anything up.......She seems to be tolerating it well....She also is out of gym until further notice which actually has her upset, she loves gym......They are running the track and she is enjoying the running......Now on to Joshua....He is a handful but is a very remarkable kiddo....Full of life and can't wait for wrestling to start again...He is so excited to be back here and doing the wrestling that he knows.....Austin will be joining on the fun this year....Yikes 2 boys in wrestling is going to be dividing this house....Which means Dad and I will divide and conquer once again....One of us will have the 3 yr old hurricane and the other will have the 2 yr old tornado....They are still at their finest....Ornery little stinkers.....I have a parent teacher conference with Joshua's teacher tomorrow evening so I'm hoping that he is doing fine as Austin's teacher isn't requesting a conference with me but then again I have sent everything I have on Austin's testing and spoke with her before school even started about Austin and his "plans" LOL.....She knows his little escapades...Hehehe Other than both Joshua and Austin have bad allergies....Something that Joshua has never had to deal with.....ChiAnne is being a normal 2 yr old.....Love her personallity but yet she is a handful at the same time....We had her eval done recently and she has completely caught up and passed all her age range goals.....Most are at 3 1/2, she won't be 3 til Feburary.....Then for 2 months and 2 days I will have 2-3 yr olds.....I saved the best for last.....Jace Andrew Lane......Omgosh this boy knows no fear whatsoever...He is a handful....He never slows down which is why I have nicknamed him the 3 yr old hurricane......he started therapy again this past monday, while he wanted nothing to do with speech he did warm up to the OT just fine.....He is still severly delayed in both areas and will continue to get services for awhile to come.....As of now he is getting them threw the school district here in Chelsea but there is a possibility that he will be transferred to project Keep in Claremore to help with therapies depending on how they assess his delays..We also have contacted someone to have him evaluated for aspergers/autism....I do not think he has autism but I do think he has something else going on besides just being a preemie.....But this is the first step in the road to figuring out his quirks and how to help him...He will be having surgery again on the 28th.....He is having his tonsils out and tubes put back in (our 3rd set) we have gotten his allergies under control but he is still having seasonal allergies and with the rain we have had recently, the trees and the grasses are confused and they are pollenating....YIKES.....Ok so I think that sums up our little ole family in a nutshell ok, well ok maybe a chapter, LOL...but either way there it is........

The election
Normally I don't get to involved with politics....I vote on my beliefs and the subject matter at hand but up early this morning because of the dang tree company sitting off Terah (tried going back to bed after getting the kids off to school and didn't succeed) So anyways I was watching CBS this morning and they were interviewing T. Boone Pickens.....This man is an awe inspiring wise man even if he is an OSU cowboy.....Listening to him speak always gets me to thinking and today I decided what the hell he needs to become president then maybe we would get somewhere.....He brought up the fact that last year the oil industry in the US bumped up production by over 10 billion barrels of oil, so much so that they are talking about exporting it but yet gas prices are still at 3.50 a gallon or better...I see an issue with this......Come on, lets be dependent on ourselves not some small foreign country who gets picked on so big brother has to step in and end up seperating our troops from their families for months at a time....How many of our troops have to die overseas in order for our country to realize that we don't need them and their oil, we got enough right here at home.....Which then lead me to think about the upcoming election.....A wise friend of mine said "I'm neither ass nor elephant, I'm about the topics" I agree with her on that.....You know does it really matter how much money one made last year or the year before that or 10 yrs before that??....Does it really matter if you worship the same God that I do?? What matters is America needs jobs, People are loosing their homes left and right, Families are struggling to make ends meet and put food on the table and it shouldn't be like this....Ok so social security is going broke, how about fixing it the right way not a bandaid fix til who knows when......Don't like the Gas prices, how about using some more of the oil that is in storage and upping production, oh wait that would mean we would be less dependent on the small countries that we are playing big brother to......Does it really matter what a person has done in the past?? People are human and they do make mistakes as long as they can admit that they made that mistake...Medicaid/Medicare not working, well its not working because the government is always putting its hand in it and cutting the budget...Taking money from this program to fund that program....Sit one budget and stick to it....Prepare to increase said budget every year....Admit when you make a mistake.....Own it and move on, its not that big of a deal....But above all support our military...They are the reason I can write this post without backlash...they fought our freedom over the last 3 centuries, how about we honor them.......Give them what they need to get better...Help them live a healthy, fulfilling productive life.......And help their families to support them and adjust to their injuries, weither physical or mental....Don't look down on them with pitty because of their injuires......They knew when they signed on the doted line what they were signing and why they were signing, they were willing to sign it just so you and I could have our freedom of speech....Secondly if you come to our country, learn our language, acknowledge our beliefs and customs even if they seem strange to you...You came here, we should not have to learn your language, change our pledge to take God out of it or adjust anything just because you don't like it.....While I haven't decided who I am voting for I do know this...the mudslinging needs to stop.....Like I said before, you make mistakes, you learn from them and then you move on....If some guy is doing a good deed, let them into your country, its not as if he is moving there.......And for heaven sakes if you don't like who is in office or running for office, run for yourself....Good luck to all the canidates this year......You are going to work hard at getting back in my good graces.....But for once can there be a meaningful race and no mudslinging about who did what in his past.....Or turn the government over to a mom who knows how to budget or to T. Boone Pickens....This probably doesn't make any sense but I don't care, it made sense to me and I thank the military for making my country free so I can feel comfortable posting it.......

I want to apologize in advance if this seems to ramble on or if it doesn't make sense....I really hope that this can explain somewhat of who I am and how this shaped my life as a mom......
May 21st, 1993 after 26 hrs and 8 mins of labor at 8:08 a.m. I gave birth to a beautiful bundle of joy..I was 17 yrs old and a senior in high school at North High......All threw my pregnancy I had been told I was having girl, so imagine my surprise when he was born a boy. I had no girl clothes, I had only one outfit that I had was a boy outfit wasn't even a boys, it was a gender neutral outfit. So my momma went out and bought me all sorts of stuff plus the church gathered tons of clothes for him....he was born on friday by sunday I needed absolutely nothing......But I struggled being a teenager and a mom, I struggled with being responsible to take care of him. I was a senior in high school, I had spent my junior year in foster care due to the sexual abuse that I ahd suffered at the hands of my ex stepfather...I also suffered from cultural shock...I had grown up in a little bitty town called Elk City....A shocking population of just under 500...yes you read that right.......My high school was Elk Valley High, the school district Elk Valley had been my home all but 2 yrs....I wasn't popular in school at all infact I was the one who was always bullied, always made fun of...I was a loner....I didn't make great grades but I didn't make poor grades either....There were 13 kids in my class including me...so you can imagine my surprise when my mom applied to Wichita State university to the Nursing program and was accepted, not only that she was accepted, she decided to move to Wichita and accepted....I chose to look at this move as a fresh start for me....My mom came up at the beginning of summer to work, I chose to go live with my grandma and work at the drive in but Grandma is a very difficult person to live with so shortly thereafter I moved up to Wichita with my momma....At first we lived in a house in Bel Aire with lots of roommates......then it was found out that the lady mom was paying rent to was embellezing money and wasn't paying rent...Oh geez so then we all had to move, we then moved over on Volutia, not a very safe neighborhood during this time I also lost my Great-Grandma right before my 16th birthday.....The neighborhood that we lived in on Volutia had us in the Wichita East High school district....Its also where I met my first boyfriend here in Wichita (Jamie Green), I met several different friends, it was also where I finally got the courage to tell the right people about the abuse that was accuring at the hands of my step-father, they asked me about my brothers, I made sure they stayed where they were at but I was placed in to a foster home...I spent all of my junior year in susana wesley girls home...I also went to Heights high...I met several different people there including Shawna Kinsey who quickly became my best friend...We were inseperable all threw my school year..Back when I went to East I had mdet Marty, I had a crush on Marty well somewhere along that he introduced me to Bryan Eugene Scott (his birthday if I remember correctly his birthday is in June......We hit it off but didn't....We messed around, I ran away from the girls home and joined him....Somewhere along the way I got drunk....I spent a week with Shawna..I had suspected I was pregnant durning this time.......I never did test, just suspected it.....I finally decided that I needed to go home...I met with my Aunt and made arrangements to meet with the police to take me back to the girls home but my social worker decided I could go home instead...So home I went. I was home several weeks before I found out I had a yeast infection, one night while I was actually treating that said yeast infection my mom asked me when my last period was....I knew when it had been, it was while I had been in Colorado durning my birthday week...over the next few days I met with several people and scheduled an appt to go to the pregnancy crisis center....I got the answer I knew was coming, I was indeed pregnant....I was due in May.....By this time it was october....I had been back to court, was placed back in my mom's custody (she had divorced by then) I went into the pregnancy knewing that I would never give this baby up for adoption. I also went and told Bryan I was pregnant....He said oh it can't be a girl, I don't make girls...I was also continuing on with my senior year, I was only going a half day as I had that many credits, that little work..I had my first scare at about 10 weeks when I started bleeding, I was babysitting my brothers and cousins, my mom and Aunt was out at the bar drinking and I thought I was dying.....Luckily I wasn't but I had made up my mind that I was keeping him....We moved right after christmas to a bigger house....Sometime around spring break I received a letter from a couple whom my Aunt had toldthem about me......They offered to adopt my child...I really did consider the couple to adopt him (at the time it was still a her) during this time I had had several u/s and they all said that he was a girl....Everything I bought was for a girl, all things pointed to a girl....A week before I was induced to have him, my mom's boyfriend, convinced me that I should really pick out a boy's name...I told him he was nuts, the ultrasounds had all said it was a girl...Tim says please just to please me pick out a boy's name......So I reluctantly gave in and said the first name that popped into my head which happened to be an old high school friend of mine to just satisfy him, little did I know I would actually be using that name just a short time later....That following sunday I took a shower, got out of the shower and a trickle went down my leg....My mom rushed home and took me in (I thought my water had broken) According to them it hadn't.......So I went threw the motions of school the following week.....I was so miserable and uncomfortable but who isn't the week before their due date their due date.....Sitting with mom playing acey ducy I had a hell of a contraction but then it went away...So I shrugged it off and mom told me to go lay down and take a nap, relax a bit.....I did but nothing happened or at least I thought nothing had happened......Monday rolls around, I'm finishing up my finals as well as mom is finishing up hers (she was graduating nursing school)That Sunday I relaxed but couldn't get comfortable....Monday I had school, tuesday again the same thing......Wednesday I had my drs appt and an u/s..During that u/s it was noted that I had no water....which was the cause of his slower movements, they checked me I was dialated a one and I was sent home....Again they checked the money shot and he was a she!! I get home, take a nap and get up to cook supper and help mom with the boys when I get a phone call saying that they were inducing me in the morning...Finally an end in sight.....but that's where the problems began....Mom had to be in school in the morning so I called my parenting coach and she took me and dropped me off, that was thursday morning..I get there, get hooked up and I'm contracting...I couldn't feel it nor were they causing much change...they were just making me uncomfortable.....So up comes the pitocin and I'm on it for hourse upon hours....Finally around 1 I caved in and asked for the epi....Relief was instantaniously thou I wish I could say it lasted but it didn't, they came back in and tried to adjust it, gave me a bolus they also tried to give me a shot to help, nothing worked.....Around midnight I was a 7...And mom needed to go home and get some rest as she had finals again the next day.....She told me that she was just a phone call away that she was going to go home and get some sleep and check on the boys and be back in about 2 hrs..They came back in and checked me and I was still at a 7, they wanted to discuss c/s..I went off on them and told them they were nuts....they went out to call my mom (I was still techinally a minor) I was on the phone calling mom..I told her that they were wanting to do a c/s but I didn't wnat it..She said I'm on my way.....Right as she said that the hospital called in and my mom said look, she is old enough to get pg, she is old enough to make a decision about having a c/s....So she got up there and by that time which was around 5, I was at an 8...By 6:30 I ws complete...So off to the delivery room we go.....I'm in there and at first I can't get the hang of pushing...then I got it....OMG, it felt so good to push but that crazy nurse said oh no hold it, I need a dr in here......So she calls a dr in, I pushed for him........He says oh no you have a bit before you are going to deliver....And left the room, the nurse called him back in with the same results and then again she called him back and this time, he said look she has a cone head..don't call me, I will call you....So my mom who was still holding my hand, started moving down into place and the nurse was no the phone to the supervisor when Renee walked in...Renee had stopped my preterm labor and I loved her.....I have never seen such a look of relief come over my mom's face, the nurse slammed down the phone..Renee says I hear we have a conehead, mom says oh no we don't.....She says go ahead and push for me.....she had one glove on, his head popped completely out.....She is yelling at me to quit pushing (my body is doing what it wants) so the nurse helps her get the other glove on and out comes the rest of his body.....They were not ready for him....I didn't hear him cry until he was approx 5 mins old, the look on their faces, my mom was crying......Renee was still working on me..I kept asking what was wrong......No one wanted to say anything....his apgars were 3 at 1 min......They eventually got him stable enough for me to get a look at him and off to the nursery he went and I went to recovery, eventually he was brought to me in recovery....After the tramatic birth, he did develope wet lung (I thik its a mild name for pneumonia..I was released on saturday, he was released before church on sunday.....I stayed home til I was 18 but things had changed between mom and I years...We fought constantly, couldn't get along and then we got evicted from our house and she wouldn't even help me find a place, she didn't care where Clayton and I went so I left and went back to Independance......We left when he was not quite 3 mths old...I was young and immature....I met Kenny when I got here...I thought I was in love....Kenny had a past, one that no one would be proud of.....But I knew him, he wouldn't do anything that he had been accused of.......I also had no place to stay so I went to SRS and asked for help to find a place.....So because I asked for help, they wanted to come in to my home and check my house once a week.....I never had Clayton there.....On November 8th, they showed up and took custody of him, he was 5 mths old...I got to visit him for awhile and then I made some bad choices and ended up in jail for my step-sister's mistakes and spent several weeks in jail.....And when I got out they had made the decision to sever my rights and have someone else adopt him......For awhile, my mom and step-dad wanted to but then they ran out of money....Then my Aunt had offer but her letter never made it to me.....I finally gave up the fight....They won...I lost my son shortly before he was 2......I did all the parenting classes that they asked of me and then some, I moved to a safer place, I had done everything but then I took the rap for my sister and went to jail for over 2 wks....I never got to see him, I never got to hold him...My family was broken hearted, my life destroyed....My little boy was gone.......I have spent the last 17 yrs trying to find him and to correct a wrong doing...I had held out hope that once he turned 18, that I would find him......that has not been the case.....So many of you have asked why he doesn't live with me so here are a few as I remember them.....I do mean its been 17 years since I held my boy to my bossom....to whisper that I love him in his ear....To tell him that he was wanted....So every year on his birthday, I go out under the stars and tell them to please keep an eye on my son and keep him safe til he can meet me.....I also ask the angels that have passed on that knew him to keep him safe......This year I asked that of my ex, Kenny, my grandmother who did some things I don't appricate but this is one way she can help make it up to me, to my step-dad J.d. to my Dad Bob and several other people who are up there....

Happy 3rd birthday Jace
Jace turned 3 on friday the 13th.....I jokingly say he is my hurricane....This child keeps me hoping......He has no fear of anything, his speech is coming along and he is excited to be starting therapy with the school this week....Its been a rocky rollar coaster with him but its one that I have loved being on but am ready for him to slow down just a bit and let momma have a chance to catch her breath....
He shared his birthday with an amazing lady....Granny..He was born on her 87th birthday and she passed away 2 yrs later on her 89th birthday so it would have been her 90th....I have decided after much soul searching he will know what an amazing lady she was and will always know what her greatest birthday gift was (those are her words, not mine) she will never be forgotten.........Granny we love and miss you......You always knew how to calm my heart and soul and I wish I could talk to you right now as you would know what to say and how to make me laugh......

Life has gotten away from us again
I haven't blogged in ages...Having 5 very active kids at home keeps us a hoppin as if you didn't already know that, LOL....Since I last posted ChiAnne has turned 2...Kent has turned 49....Spring break has come and gone....Alyssa has her braces off and is doing good with followups...She actually got them off 6 1/2 mths early because it was causing issues with her gums....Gums are already back to size but still have a bit of redness to them....but the new dentist here in kansas is quite pleased with them.....Chi spent 4 days in the hospital due to pneumonia...Poor baby was so sick and I was so scared....I took her over to Herington which is where the kids' dr is and the hospital when checking her O2 sats they were down to 84...Not good after my summer episode..They couldn't get it up so they transferred us by ambulance to Salina Reginal....I really don't care for the hospital but they did good with her....She is so active that she pulled out her iv 4 difference times...finally after the 4th time they agreed to leave it out...And she came home 2 days later.....Ornery little girl.....Joshua did flag football and started wrestling but ended up not liking it because he knows a different style...He is a force to be reckoned with when he has an opponant that actually can wrestle his way....I really hope he will pick back up next year....As a wrestling mom it has been a fun season but yet a heart breaking season....Jace is Jace....Lord have mercy if this kid makes it til he is 5 it will be a miracle.....We live on a very busy highway, which I hate, but he makes it out the door and straight to the highway he goes....I can't turn my back for a minute with them two...He has had his transistion meeting for the school and the school will be taking over his therapy...He will still continue to get speech therapy but will be adding 2 more therapist...He needs to improve his fine motor skills and one more....I can't remember it, just know he is going to get it, LOL...He is also on an IEP...Some of the testing that they did indicates that he has ADHD (oh gee, like I didn't know that but I really didn't want to hear that) having 3 kids with ADHD is not fun....He did pass some of his allergy tests...but he tested positive for brewer's yeast/yeast so he can not have apple juice, breads, beer (as if a 2 yr old will be drinking) grapes anything that can ferment is a no no for him.....They are considering on rerunning blood work next month....The last time we ran blood work was when he was 1 (2010) and it showed a comprimised immune system but no significant allergies....so it really is time to repeat those tests....He is experiancing a whole bunch of atopic dermatitus...We have dealt with this since he was about 6 mths old so its nothing new but it is causing more work for momma....I have to give him a bath every night, rub the areas with aquafor and a cream (that our insurance didn't cover, working on that so for now we have samples) and then wet socks...It hasn't showed any improvements but we just started this to....He is also on a new antibotic that required a preautherization with the insurance company, still haven't gotten it, thankfully he isn't that sick....We just can't get rid of the ear infections and sinus issues but I have a feeling we will have this for awhile...Welcome to the wonderful world of dealing with a child with allergies to the unknown...the school district is pushing me to put him in head start and while I see the benefit I'm not sure I'm going for it....First of all it is 30 miles one way on a bus at about 7:15 in the morning and then he wouldn't get home til about 3:30 in the afternoon.....Um so that is 60 miles round trip for a 3 yr old on a bus....They keep pushing me to meet the bus driver...It really has nothing to do with the bus driver, it has to do with the distance that he will have to travel.....I can promise that he will be sleeping both ways...and then will be a bear to deal with when he gets home...Maybe if it wasn't 5 days a week I could see it but it is....
Alyssa is her loving old self, not...We have had major changes in her medicines...they put her on a patch for her ADHD meds...It has really seemed to help at school but not at home....We also stopped her celexa but now we don't have her seeing a dr because hers is no longer seeing patients...GGGGRRRR just when we are starting to get somewhere.....She is still seeing her therapist....Still not cleaning her room....still being Alyssa.....
Moving to Kansas hasn't been all that honky dorey...I'm ready to go home...First of all the kids hate it here and are making it well known...I live not that far from family and I hardly see them....Mom is the only one who bothers calling me or seeing me...My brother well he is my brother thats all I can say....My other brother is back in jail...seriously that is his home away from home....The younger brother is still down towards home (he happens to be the smart one, LOL) or should we say the youngest one is the smart one....He is living with the most amazing woman....I love her, we didn't really start out on the right foot but we have talked since then and have really gotten to know her....And she is awesome.....She also has 3 kids....1 girl and 2 boys.....but the awesome news is they are having a baby girl!!! I'm so excited to have a niece...Well she isn't close enough for me to spoil....But thats ok.....I will be spoiling her from afar, LOL.....
Mom~I have been spending at least once a month at mom's house...doing the books for the storage units...Kent doing her honey do list along with Bobby....Just really trying to help her keep it together thou I'm not sure we are really doing a good job of it....She is still having an issue with her leg...I know she is tired of dealing with it but it is what it is and it will heal when it needs to....I just can't believe it went from a small scratch to what it looks like now...
OK back to kansas...the people are just plain rude here, they don't wave, they don't use their turn signals, they are just downright rotten here....I'm ready to move back to oklahoma where the people wave as you pass them down the road, the schools are not pain in the butts....and everyone knows everyone and there is nothing wrong with a new family moving in....OK so thats all in a nutshell....

God Gave Us So Much
By Lisa Tawn Bergren~
This little book is so awesome. Its a children's book and 3-book treasury. The first story is God Gave us the world...The first sentence in the little story is "what a beautiful world we live in!" I read it to my children and asked them to name the things about our world that they thought was beautiful. It was so thought provoking to see this come alive threw my childrens eyes. The art detail is just as beautiful as the story is..It draws in their attention and keeps til the end of the story.....It talks about how we are all different but yet God made us
The next story is God Gave us Love~ this story takes Little Cub fishing with his Gramps......When we were finished reading this story my step-dad had just passed away a few months before so at the time my children were grieving for their grandfather...It talks about sharing with others...How we should love others unconditionally, no matter what they do....and at this time we were having issues with our children being nice to each other (a bit of sibling rivarly going on) So they really related to how Little Cub could love something but yet not like them at the same time. Again we had a very long discussion about this......The way that these books are written are so easy for young children to understand and help them make better choices......
The 3rd and final story of this book is God Gave us Heaven.....the first sentence in this story is "Papa, what's heav'n?" a very thought provoking subject........Little cub's father goes on to explain that its God's home.....the most amazing place we'll ever get to see....It talks about how God has great plans for your time on earth as well as in his home......talks about how there is nothing bad going on in Heaven......How there will be no more tears, no more sadness, no more pain, only good....only smiles" We couldn't read this story right away because of us moving to another state and then me, their momma getting very sick and almost passed away.......but my little sister read this story to them and talked to them about it.......Its amazing how this book helps children understand God's plan for us....What happens once we go to heaven......My children then went on to have a very good conversation with my mother's pastor and he was amazed at how quizical they were of god and how much understanding that because of this book.......
Life is always full of ups and down and to see life threw a child's eye is like no other.....I will eventually be completing this set as there are more books in the series and my children and I will continue to read them and reread this one again and again as we have.......Thanks for such a heartwarming book...

Where has time gone??
As I ask myself this question, I ponder on what has happened in the last 7 mths that I haven't posted about. Oh there are a bigillion things going on.
First off in May, I left oklahoma to go stay with my Mom for a couple of weeks. It was for the best of our family. Durning this time it became clear that we needed to move closer to family. I didn't care where as long as it included being closer to family. I know now the reason for this. June 11th, Joshua turned 7....Wow where has time gone that my baby boy "turkey" as dubbed by his older sister has turned 7.......Yikes.......by this time we had discovered a house about an hour from my mother's......It was ideal.....4 bedrooms with a half basement on 4 1/2 acres of land.........Perfect and in our price range.....We decided to let the house go in Oklahoma because Kent's health is failing and he isn't able to take care of the responsibilities of owning a home right now.......So we decided for the best of our family and decided to rent the house in Elmo, yes you read that right.......Elmo as in the red creature from Seasme street, lol.........So we packed up and moved our kids, horses, dog and cat to Elmo Kansas.......We were actually suppose to be out of the house on Saturday the 1st but couldn't do it.......Man you accumlate a lot of stuff living in one place for 5 yrs.....Yikes.........We arrived July 6th after having a few problems along the way including Kent pulling a muscle in his back......he could hardly walk.....thankfully my little brother Bobby and my cousin Jamie's husband, Charles and one of Bobby's friends came to my rescue and unloaded our Uhaul......It was suppose to be back the 8th but it didn't get back until the 9th.......I was exhausted by this time and had been having troubles with my blood sugar.......Kent and I both thought it was from the stress of the move and they did go down a bit but not enough.......I kept pluggin away and got boxes unpacked, got my house sit up.......Had my mom up (its so awesome to have her close enough that she will drive to see me now :D) convinced her to let me keep my nephew and my little sister (My little sister hadn't stayed with me since 2006 when she got 13 stitches on the 13th of July) She brought both Sarah and Wyatt up on the 25th of July........the 26th I woke up coughing.....I had slowed down due to the majority of the boxes being unpacked and Sarah was helping decorate my new house........btw I absolutely love my new house.......the kitchen is enourmous......We basically live in the kitchen around the table because well thats what I have always wanted......I do not want my kids in the living room all the time watching tv, its not good for them......I kept getting worse and on the night of the 27th, Kent told me it sounded like I had pneumonia again.........I had been hospitalized in december of 2008 for it so I took him at his word however with the move we were stuck and it was only days before his paycheck came in........So mom to the rescue again.....She wired me some money and Sarah and I took off to the ER in Abilene........This is now July 28th.........From here on out I have relied on things being told to me by Kent, my sister, and 2 close friends and my mother as well........I walked into Memorial hospital in Abilene on my own.....I got in and things started happening really quick.......Apparently my oxygen saturation levels were at 55%.......I should have not been able to walk into that ER on my own let alone talk to them.....My blood sugars were sky high again.......And sure enough Kent was right, I did have pneumonia........I was in one room and they had me walk to the trama room.......I hear them tell me that they needed to put a tube down my throat to help me breath and had me sign a piece of paper......I remember them talking to my baby sister in the hallway and I remember hearing her say please transfer her to Wichita, we have family down there and we know Wichita better than Topeka......After that I'm not sure what happened until I woke up on my Birthday 16 days later in Wesley Medical Center's CCU......they transferred me by ambulance to Wesley because that is where my mom wanted me to go......Mom had to leave work, drive and pick up Kent and the kids and drive on to Abilene because Sarah just has a learner's permit.......She was distraught to say the least......I don't blame her one bit for not being able to stay with me........Kent said once he got there, he had been in contact with the hospital the whole time and they held the ambulance for him to get there so he could see me one last time.......he rubbed my forehead and told me he would see me in Wichita......He took the kids home, got some clothes and my mom filled up the Suburban (Yikes, thats expensive) thanks mom.......My mom then took my kids to her house while Kent drove on to Wichita to be with me.....They had him on the phone with him and because he wasn't there he said he had to talk to 2 different people to give them consent to start a pic line.....From the time I was in the Trama Room at Abilene I don't remember anything......Kent called my bff, another very close friend of mine and yet another friend of mine.....He forgot to call my cousin so she spent days trying to figure out what was going on (Sorry Paulie)......Everyone rallied around me and prayed......For the first 72 to 96 hours they were not sure I was going to pull threw.........My blood pressure kept bottoming out, they couldn't figure out where the infection was coming from......they speculated that I had a heart attack or a pulmonary embolism.......they sedated and restrained me to keep me from pulling my tube out.....finally I begin to adjust to the tube but I still wasn't cooperating very much........I wonder why......The drs were unable to tell Kent or my mom anything....other than I was very sick....Kent stayed by my bedside, only leaving to go warm up (him complain its cold, never), get a bite to eat or smoke........My kids stayed with my mom.......During my coma I missed our 12th anniversary (hey at least we got to spend it togather alone, lol sorry honey I still love ya) and I also missed Alyssa's 11th birthday but my large family friends came threw with donations and Sheri (a friend of mine who has 10 kids and one on the way) was able to throw a birthday party for her.......While I have a lot of mommy guilt about it I'm glad she got to have fun.........Kent had a lot of time to think about things while I was in the coma....We are closer now then we have ever been......We had numerous plans and drs appts.......Alyssa missed her intake appt at the mental health place, yikes.......It meant that she didn't have her meds.......UH OH........by August 7th I was out of the woods but still needed the Vent to breath.......My lungs were not healing as fast as they needed or wanted them to but hey I was still alive, thats what matters...........Finally they told Kent on the 13th that they were going to take my tube out.....they had been weaning me off of the meds that they used to keep in the coma so they knew I was going to wake up because I had been showing signs and they had basically turned off the Vent and I was breathing on my own.......So they knew it was time.......The first thing I remember when I opened my eyes was seeing Kent's face and hearing him say, You just gave me the best birthday present I could have asked for" then he said I love you so much........I tried talking but couldn't (my throat was raw from the tube) he gave me a hug and said he had to go be with the kids but that he loved me and would be back......I looked at the calendar it was August 13th, my birthday........16 days is how long I slept.......the drs nor the nurses would tell me what was going on, why I was in there........I had to wait for Kent to come back the next day........I cried and told him I wanted to go home....I was going to leave AMA, btw I didn't.....He managed to explain a few things to me but things have been coming slowly from him......I was moved upstairs the next day..........When he was up there, he left to get a cup of Joe.......I got up out of bed and promptly fell right on my ass, hiting the cabinets that were in the room.......the nurse was mad at me, I couldn't get back up.......Finally security came in and had a brilliant idea and i was back in bed.......Ok so maybe I'm not ready to be at home........Which I cried some more.......I hated not being able to walk, how could I take care of my kids, my husband, my house.......The dr came in and talked to me.......She was really nice and finally told me what had happened, why I was at Wesley and what was going to happen now that I was awake........Later that night I was moved upstairs..........I couldn't hardly walk......It hurt to walk but the best thing that came of me being in a coma was that I lost 40+lbs while there.......Um hell of a way to loose it but it was great........The best thing yet is that even thou I didn't loose a lot of lbs I lost a lot of inches.........I'm smaller now then what I when I had Alyssa......Yea shocking I know......On the 14th when they moved me out of CCU into a regular room......they put me on a halter to monitor my vitals, that darn thing kept coming off......I had so much fun with it but I barely got any sleep that night because of it.......there was talk of me going into rehab at a nursing home......Yikes I'm to young to be in a Nursing home but I knew that if I went it was because I wasn't strong enough to go home but yet I was to strong for the hospital......So mentally I prepared myself for that......All the while Kent was at home with my kids.......I had one goal in mind and that was to go home to my kids and be home before the first day of school............I actually accomplished that.....I went home on the 17th........I had 4 days of physical therapy......I had a ton of muscle atrophy due to lack of pt while in the coma but no joint lock up.......thank god......I went home with a walker........I couldn't get up on my own, Kent had to help me........I had no strength to do anything........I fell twice after getting home......I seriously wondered why God allowed this to happen to me......I was not one to slow down.......I had 2 bed(pressure) sores that kent had to doctor.........I had to take a shower every night thankfully my grandma had a shower chair that I still have.....the sore on my back healed up within a few weeks.......but the one on my tailbone took more time.......I was sitting up a little bit more everyday but I was in bed by 8:30.......I couldn't help Kent with anything, just getting up and eating was a chore......Mom found me a dr up here and I went to see him about 2 wks after I got out of the hospital.......Dr. Davis was nice but I didn't have the connection there.......I have since seen his partner, Dr. Cook (she is so awesome, I love her plus she goes to my mom's church and my mom had told her about me while I was in the coma so she was privy to the inside history, lol) He said that it would take up to a year to get my strength completely back.......He was acutally suprised how things were going with me by then.....I am a fighter, I have 5 small children at home, there is no way I can slow down......Kent lost it one night and between Alyssa and I we managed to take care of the others.....Hey he has a right to loose it every once in awhile.......the stress finally just got to him.......He admitted he was afraid that I was going to die, that I would leave him......he was the one who was suppose to go first....Um yea that would make sense since he is older than me (muah honey) but we stood united when SRS showed up a couple days later......My house was a wreak due to me just getting home and not being to do anything and Kent was doing the best he could.......They acutally came out because I hadn't filled one of meds.........It was over $200 for a months supply and we just couldn't afford it.......We were in the process of contacting the company to see if they could help us but this was before we could get in to Dr. Davis.....Finally we got into Dr. Davis and he has since filed for the med assistance program and I still haven't heard from them.....but I hadn't needed it as my blood sugars have stayed relatively low.......They finally figured out that I apparently got sick durning the move (hence why my blood sugars were sky high) and when I slowed down it settled into my lungs......Which was just peachy.......I still couldn't get around on my own but I was doing better.....however by this time I constantly freezing......I would be sitting around with a blanket over me shivering and everyone else would be complaining it was hot......they discovered that my kidneys were trying to shut down......I had told them in the hospital that I felt like I was getting an UTI however I didn't have any pain..........I have always gotten an UTI after having a catheder in and this time was no different........I had been throwing up but thought it was just nerves about seeing a new dr........No it was a sign of the UTI.......it had moved into my kidneys and I was running an internal fever.......never a fever when I checked with a thermomoter.........they gave me a shot of rocephian (youch that hurts) and a script for Cipro but did not put me back in hopsital.........woohoo........Kids started school and momma was home.......I went to the school and enrolled them, filled out all my paperwork.........I have had a time getting around as my knees and muscles around my knees are giving me a hard time but hey I am just thankful to be alive.......To be a mom to my kids, to be a wife to my husband.........I survived........the morning after I got home, my mom called and said I needed to come see Grandma........you see this was the reason why I came hoem to begin with........We had been told that Grandma had 3-6 mths to live due to having lung cancer.......but the cancer wasn't going to kill her it was CHF that would......She had kidney cancer years ago and had had to have the one kidney removed........You can live with one kidney but it makes for her to retain fluid......And with her cancer they had to take her off of her lasix which kept her from retaining the fluid......We were devastated to say the least..........So we had expected her to go but I wasn't expecting this........ I knew for mom to call me when I was so sick that it was serious.........I got to spend a few hours with Grandma before I went home and to bed.......Mom had a wheelchair waiting on me at the door of the nursing home........Grandma passed away that same night.........August 18th...........My mother in law's birthday............I was happy that Grandma had gone home but I am still very sad that I couldn't spend more time with her........After all she was my last living Grandma.........yes J.D.'s mother is still alive but I don't know her that well......I was already grown and out of the house when mom married J.D...............So life has flown before us.......I'm moving around pretty good now........Jace has been horrible about sneaking out, we had to put pins in the sliding doors to keep him from escaping out........I still can't get up from my chair in the living room by myself or the couch for that matter........but I can stay up for longer periods of time.......My A1C is down to 6.1 which is basically normal.....Got Alyssa in for her appts on her meds.......finally got her back on her meds...........Have had to take her to Broken Arrow to the orthodontist about her braces as we can't find anyone up here to take over her care.........And even thou it has only been 5 months since her last treatment, She will get her braces off in Janurary and will have a retainer..........A full 6 mths ahead of schedule.......she was suppose to have them on til July.........woohoo......She is recieving pt for her knee from the fall durning the blizzards that hit oklahoma in feburary while she was chasing her chickens.......thats a whole nother story, LOL........We did flag football this year and Kent was coach......OMGosh that was so crazy.....Wrestling season starts tomorrow........Joshua has camp all this week and practice starts the 22nd...Jace and ChiAnne both have to have speech therapy.......ChiAnne also has to have physical therapy.......According to mom she walks like her hips are out of joint......we knew that this could be a problem as with preemies their legs flop open due to no muscle tone......we had hoped she would outgrow it.....but still hasn't......so she will have therapy, not sure when it will start but it better start soon, LOL........Its now the middle of November.......I'm making plans for thanksgiving and buying christmas gifts......I'm enjoying being the mom to my kids that they need........I am not taking one moment for granted as you never know how long we have on this earth....I promise to try to keep up with my blog more often and post more pics asap.......but for now.......love your families like there is no tomorrow.......oh and I still love my new house, LOL........

want my kids in the living room all the time watching tv, its not good for them......I kept getting worse and on the night of the 27th, Kent told me it sounded like I had pneumonia again.........I had been hospitalized in december of 2008 for it so I took him at his word however with the move we were stuck and it was only days before his paycheck came in........So mom to the rescue again.....She wired me some money and Sarah and I took off to the ER in Abilene........This is now July 28th.........From here on out I have relied on things being told to me by Kent, my sister, and 2 close friends and my mother as well........I walked into Memorial hospital in Abilene on my own.....I got in and things started happening really quick.......Apparently my oxygen saturation levels were at 55%.......I should have not been able to walk into that ER on my own let alone talk to them.....My blood sugars were sky high again.......And sure enough Kent was right, I did have pneumonia........I was in one room and they had me walk to the trama room.......I hear them tell me that they needed to put a tube down my throat to help me breath and had me sign a piece of paper......I remember them talking to my baby sister in the hallway and I remember hearing her say please transfer her to Wichita, we have family down there and we know Wichita better than Topeka......After that I'm not sure what happened until I woke up on my Birthday 16 days later in Wesley Medical Center's CCU......they transferred me by ambulance to Wesley because that is where my mom wanted me to go......Mom had to leave work, drive and pick up Kent and the kids and drive on to Abilene because Sarah just has a learner's permit.......She was distraught to say the least......I don't blame her one bit for not being able to stay with me........Kent said once he got there, he had been in contact with the hospital the whole time and they held the ambulance for him to get there so he could see me one last time.......he rubbed my forehead and told me he would see me in Wichita......He took the kids home, got some clothes and my mom filled up the Suburban (Yikes, thats expensive) thanks mom.......My mom then took my kids to her house while Kent drove on to Wichita to be with me.....They had him on the phone with him and because he wasn't there he said he had to talk to 2 different people to give them consent to start a pic line.....From the time I was in the Trama Room at Abilene I don't remember anything......Kent called my bff, another very close friend of mine and yet another friend of mine.....He forgot to call my cousin so she spent days trying to figure out what was going on (Sorry Paulie)......Everyone rallied around me and prayed......For the first 72 to 96 hours they were not sure I was going to pull threw.........My blood pressure kept bottoming out, they couldn't figure out where the infection was coming from......they speculated that I had a heart attack or a pulmonary embolism.......they sedated and restrained me to keep me from pulling my tube out.....finally I begin to adjust to the tube but I still wasn't cooperating very much........I wonder why......The drs were unable to tell Kent or my mom anything....other than I was very sick....Kent stayed by my bedside, only leaving to go warm up (him complain its cold, never), get a bite to eat or smoke........My kids stayed with my mom.......During my coma I missed our 12th anniversary (hey at least we got to spend it togather alone, lol sorry honey I still love ya) and I also missed Alyssa's 11th birthday but my large family friends came threw with donations and Sheri (a friend of mine who has 10 kids and one on the way) was able to throw a birthday party for her.......While I have a lot of mommy guilt about it I'm glad she got to have fun.........Kent had a lot of time to think about things while I was in the coma....We are closer now then we have ever been......We had numerous plans and drs appts.......Alyssa missed her intake appt at the mental health place, yikes.......It meant that she didn't have her meds.......UH OH........by August 7th I was out of the woods but still needed the Vent to breath.......My lungs were not healing as fast as they needed or wanted them to but hey I was still alive, thats what matters...........Finally they told Kent on the 13th that they were going to take my tube out.....they had been weaning me off of the meds that they used to keep in the coma so they knew I was going to wake up because I had been showing signs and they had basically turned off the Vent and I was breathing on my own.......So they knew it was time.......The first thing I remember when I opened my eyes was seeing Kent's face and hearing him say, You just gave me the best birthday present I could have asked for" then he said I love you so much........I tried talking but couldn't (my throat was raw from the tube) he gave me a hug and said he had to go be with the kids but that he loved me and would be back......I looked at the calendar it was August 13th, my birthday........16 days is how long I slept.......the drs nor the nurses would tell me what was going on, why I was in there........I had to wait for Kent to come back the next day........I cried and told him I wanted to go home....I was going to leave AMA, btw I didn't.....He managed to explain a few things to me but things have been coming slowly from him......I was moved upstairs the next day..........When he was up there, he left to get a cup of Joe.......I got up out of bed and promptly fell right on my ass, hiting the cabinets that were in the room.......the nurse was mad at me, I couldn't get back up.......Finally security came in and had a brilliant idea and i was back in bed.......Ok so maybe I'm not ready to be at home........Which I cried some more.......I hated not being able to walk, how could I take care of my kids, my husband, my house.......The dr came in and talked to me.......She was really nice and finally told me what had happened, why I was at Wesley and what was going to happen now that I was awake........Later that night I was moved upstairs..........I couldn't hardly walk......It hurt to walk but the best thing that came of me being in a coma was that I lost 40+lbs while there.......Um hell of a way to loose it but it was great........The best thing yet is that even thou I didn't loose a lot of lbs I lost a lot of inches.........I'm smaller now then what I when I had Alyssa......Yea shocking I know......On the 14th when they moved me out of CCU into a regular room......they put me on a halter to monitor my vitals, that darn thing kept coming off......I had so much fun with it but I barely got any sleep that night because of it.......there was talk of me going into rehab at a nursing home......Yikes I'm to young to be in a Nursing home but I knew that if I went it was because I wasn't strong enough to go home but yet I was to strong for the hospital......So mentally I prepared myself for that......All the while Kent was at home with my kids.......I had one goal in mind and that was to go home to my kids and be home before the first day of school............I actually accomplished that.....I went home on the 17th........I had 4 days of physical therapy......I had a ton of muscle atrophy due to lack of pt while in the coma but no joint lock up.......thank god......I went home with a walker........I couldn't get up on my own, Kent had to help me........I had no strength to do anything........I fell twice after getting home......I seriously wondered why God allowed this to happen to me......I was not one to slow down.......I had 2 bed(pressure) sores that kent had to doctor.........I had to take a shower every night thankfully my grandma had a shower chair that I still have.....the sore on my back healed up within a few weeks.......but the one on my tailbone took more time.......I was sitting up a little bit more everyday but I was in bed by 8:30.......I couldn't help Kent with anything, just getting up and eating was a chore......Mom found me a dr up here and I went to see him about 2 wks after I got out of the hospital.......Dr.

Austin James Levi
was born at 11:49 am 5 yrs ago today.......My 3rd son....I knew he was a boy by all the problems he was giving me...To describe Austin in a nutshell would be his Granny's words "I can see the devil dancing in his eyes" this is the boy who makes plans, who takes off without talking to mom first...This it the boy who acts like a girl when it comes to spider and snakes.....The kind hearted boy who asked to buy a rose for his foster grandmother (she is in his classroom as a volunteer) and then had to include his teacher and his assistant teacher to as he didn't want them to feel left out....This is the boy who asked for one thing this year and that was to talk to his Great Granny who isn't doing very well healthwise......He said "I want to tell I miss her, I love her" and that was arranged by his daddy....He is so kind hearted.....That tonight it broke his heart when Joshua told him that he broke his heart that he wouldn't let Joshua have his brand new hotwheels in the bathtub......But I am proud that my son also stood his ground and didn't allow his big brother to convince him to give them up.......This is the compasionite boy who kept asking my bff if she was ok as they were walking in walmart......This is the little boy that she picked up and put on her shoulders so I could eat at a resturant and he played in her hair...Quite funny if I do say so myselft, LOL.......I hope the rest of his life is as fun filled as his first 5 yrs have been....Happy Birthday Austin......I love you!!! (PICS are not going to be coming for awhile, can't upload any new ones)

I am a large family mom
And darn proud of it...I'm sorry if the size of my family offends you or if it seems that I always have drama in my life....Well when you are a mom of 6 kids, married to a disabled military vet......there will always be drama.....Yes I only have 5 kids at home, hopefully soon that will change as he turns 18 in a matter of weeks....No my dh does not work, he would love to work but the drs have said NO way Jose so they put him on a military pension............Yes there are days we struggle to make ends meat but ya know thanks to my momma I do know how to make a dollar stretch and get what my kids need....And sometimes what they want.....My kids have never ever gone with out anything that they have needed......Now I will admit that they have done without things they want because well you don't always get what you want in life.........I have seen where a family of four spends close to a $1000 a month on groceries and it pisses them off when for a family of 7, I spend $400, sometimes a little less........sometimes more.....they can't see how I do it.......Its called planning and shopping sales......I'm sorry if our measly little pension isn't enough to satisfy you and your little clic......No we are not rich but we do own our own home, drive a 10 yr old suv (yes it is damaged thanks to dh's wreck) but does that change who I am....No it does not........And who are you to judge who I am, what I am......it is not your place, it is God's place.....I don't need your drama filled craptastic followers........Grow some cahonas and have the balls to tell a person that they have offended you in some way and move on about it.........Like the title to this post!!!! I am a large family mom and dam proud of it........
